For a decade now, Ibanez has continued to energize the hollow-body segment with wide range of designs-with everything from rockin' hybrids to straight-up jazz-boxes. The new Expressionist line begins yet anotherchapter in the Artcore story.
The Expressionist difference? Jazz fans will recognize the Ibanez original Super 58 pickups-the preferred pickup of George Benson, Pat Metheny and John Scofield on their own Signature models. A jazz favorite, yes, but as funk guitarist Eric Krasno has been proving, the Super 58s perform well in a variety of situations. Warm, balanced articulation, and excellent response characterize the Super 58 pickups.
The AF is the benchmark of the Artcore full-hollow bodies. 15.75 inch body is producing rich and complex tones, the AF is the guitar for the purist in all of us.
- a: Length 19 1/2"
- b: Width 15 3/4"
- c: Max Depth 3 5/8"
Artcore players represent a wide range of musical genres, but these Artcores are dedicated to the jazz guitarist. That's probably obvious if you know your old school jazz boxes: wooden bridges, narrow frets. The 20-Fret fretboard produces that authentically warm jazz tone and to top it off: the AFJ models come equipped with high quality flat wound strings - of course!
The AG has a smaller body than the most of traditional full-hollow bodies. However, The AG has a lot of articulation and great playability that others don't have.
- a: Length 18 7/8"
- b: Width 14 1/2"
The AS is a semi-acoustic guitar built to tackle just about any genre of music you throw at it. The pickups are mounted into a sustain block for increased sustain and feedback elimination. 17th fret joint features comfortable access to higher notes.
- a: Length 19 1/4"
- c: Max Depth 2 5/8"
Don't be fooled by its smaller size - the AM model has all the power, presence and features of its larger cousins. It's perfect for smaller players or anyone else who wants the traditional semi-acoustic elements but not the traditional size.
